Panic - Banana Raw Final Sequences
As I could not arrange the scene and keep the cast shadow in the same place whilst shooting, I shot the Banana sequence first and then used paparazzi mode to take the second sequence of the peeling shadow motion. I hope to splice the 2 compositions together in after effects.
Panic - Banana Test Shots
Composition Tests: The composition had to show the banana's face and leave space on the wall to fit in the cast shadow of the other banana being peeled.
Lighting Tests: The lighting was hard to set up, I had to arrange the lights so that the cast shadow would hit the right spot on the wall, whilst not blocking the light with my body. Also being in such close quarters I had difficulty finding a spot whilst taking the pictures that didn't interrupt the lighting. I had to resort to sitting on the floor.
Banana Angle: The banana had to be facing the right direction so that you could see the face but also at an angle were it was looking at the source of the cast shadow.
Face Tests: These were taken to asses the size of the eyes and mouths for the bananas.

Panic - Banana Set Up
I set up the kitchen scene with a tight focus, leaving wall space for the cast shadow, the scene included kitchen knives, a fruit bowl and a coffee machine, I used a cool blue gel on the side light to neutralise the yellow tone of the room, also to give the impression of day light. This made the cast shadows come out blue.
Panic Banana Prep
Preparing the facial features. I printed the 241 mouths that made up the sequence of the banana's speech. I then cut out the shape of the mouths, and filled them in with a marker. This took a ridiculously long time.
The mouths were wrapped in individual paper sleeves and numbered, then kept with their corresponding pictures so that at the time of the shoot the mouths can be placed the right way up.

The following series of videos have been taken as a practice run for the speech of my panic'd pencil, after choosing my favorite i will export the video as an image sequence and use the frame rate images to control the mouth of my pencil. The sound will be re-recorded to sync with the animation after the shoot.
